Again the website below provides free SATs papers so that you can see the type of questions that your child will be asked during the tests in May. When you enter the link, please scroll down to

KS1 papers, 2002 (at the bottom).

I’ve heard that some of you have been a bit keen and have done two papers this week so what I’m going to suggest is this, for this week I was going to set the KS1 paper, 2002 and for the half term holiday I was going to ask you to work through the 2003 and 2004 maths papers.

Remember you can revisit these papers and make up similar questions for your children to solve.

There is also a mark scheme on the website to help with marking so your child gets instant feedback and allows you to work on areas that they are unsure of.

If you are stuck for maths strategies that we teach in school, please go to the school website and click on parents section where you will find the Maths Guide. This was updated in the autumn term. If you choose a strategy that your child is struggling with then you could use the strategy before it until you find a strategy that your child is comfortable with.Then practice, practice, practice as we all know this makes perfect!
